The Kingdom of God is built on the Lordship of Jesus and the authority of His Friends. Jesus demonstrated the Kingdom of God. “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons” said Jesus and say ‘The Kingdom of God is here!’ The Kingdom of God is the presence of the Son of God in you. Our role on earth is to multiply what Jesus began in the power of the Spirit. This is how His Kingdom comes and His will is done on earth as it is in heaven. It is His will that is to be done on earth. Not our will.
Confusion here is the source of much misguided prayer. ‘Lord do this. Lord fix that.’ What the Lord actually wants is for us to be one with Him in intimacy, obedience and humility to know His heart, hear His voice and do His will. He said, 'May they be in us. May they be one as we are one.' Let’s stop attempting to second Him to our will and live ‘Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.' As Jesus is worshiped as Lord, He builds His church. This is
a church that is the Kingdom of God rather than
another outpost of the kingdom of man.
